I composed and recorded this piece, "I Am - Ego Eimi / God The Son" a few years ago. I was asked to put together something for Christmas at my church and the Lord brought this to my mind. It is altogether amazing how when God brings you something, in the form of music, it is as though you are merely the secretary dictating for Him. The entire composition concept took but a couple of hours to get down on paper. It took many, many hours to put all the musical and vocal pieces together but it was a labor of love unto Him whose gifting and anointing it is. The video end of it was produced by my good friend, Grady Kizziar and he sure did an awesome job putting the music to imagery.
The words speak to that very profound portion of the Christmas story about which we don't often enough put into music and song: God the Son, existed before the World was and was before time, space and the universe, as we know it. He existed eternally on His Heavenly throne. Out of His pure love for, us, His creation, He left His Throne, emptying Himself of His Infinite-Being and independent God-hood. He humbled Himself, replacing His Infinite-Being with human flesh and became entirely dependant upon God, The Father, in everything. The Scripture tells us that The King of Kings condescended Himself, becoming a human servant, that He became "obedient even unto death". So the baby Jesus did not simply appear into the world from nowhere. He had an infinite, Glorious state long before He came here and it was such that He prayed for His Father to return Him to that Glory He had, with the Father, before the world was. All of this was, indeed, done by none other than the Lord, Savior and Redeemer of the world, Jesus Christ. He simply and truly is THE reason for the season. The link is below. To each and every one of you, for whom Christ came, lived, taught, suffered, gave His life and rose again - Merry CHRISTmas! ~ Sammy Vijarro
I love You, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for Your Greatness, Goodness and Mercy and I am so very grateful for Your immeasureable Love for me and for the whole world. You are greater than words, music or pictures could ever portray You. Thank you, Lord, for my ultimate Christmas gift, You and the Salvation which only You could bring. I am forever Yours. Your servant...
